What documents are required to submit a marriage application between a Saudi citizen and a foreign national?

To submit a marriage application for a Saudi man to marry a foreign woman, you need to submit basic documents such as the Saudi national identity card and the foreign woman’s residence permit, in addition to birth certificates, medical reports, a certificate of good conduct, proof of work and income for the Saudi man, and a declaration of consent from her guardian, along with translation and attestation of the foreign documents, and submit them through the Emirate or the Najiz platform to obtain official approval.

Documents required from the Saudi (fiancé):

  1. A copy of the national identity card.
  2. Proof of employment and income (letter of introduction from the employer or commercial register).
  3. A copy of the most recent educational qualification.
  4. A copy of the divorce certificate (if divorced, after 6 months).
  5. A certificate stating that there is no Saudi wife (or a medical report proving the current wife's inability to conceive/have intercourse).

Documents required from the foreign woman (fiancée):

  • A copy of her (valid) passport.
  • A copy of her (valid) residence permit.
  • A copy of her birth certificate (translated and certified).
  • Certificate of good conduct (certified by her country and the Saudi embassy).
  • Islamic certificate (if it is from a non-Muslim).
  • Medical report (for both parties).
  • A copy of her academic qualification.
